Digital Image / Monitor flickers or has lines during x-ray

This happens once in a while with digital systems when proper cable layout is not taken into account during installation.

X-ray machines are producing electric currents in the range of 1000 amps. This in turn creates huge Electro Magnetic Fields. These EMF fields will absolutely interfere with digital technology. This is normal (and occurs in HF and Line Freq generators).

  1. The FSE MUST keep the HV, Incoming line, and magnetic lock cables away from the digital signal/PC cables (> 1 meter ).
  2. Do NOT wrap your excess cables into a coil. Your cables will act as an antenna and pick up noise. Instead Zig zag your excess cables and tie wrap them together.
