What system setup would result in the greatest image resolution (highest lp/mm)
Step 1: Ensure a good incoming radiation Signal:
- Fractional focal spot tube (smallest focal spot possible for sharpest image)
- High resolution grid (178/200/215 LP/inch, more gridlines less scatter)
- Bucky (Clean the incoming signal without software filtering)
- Automatic Exposure Control (adjusted to always acquire the bare minimum panel radiation to avoid grainy images)
- High Frequency Generator (constant potential)
Step 2: Choose software filters with care (the following will have a reduction effect on incoming resolution):
- Grid line suppression
- Post Processing
